Elijah Arroyo gets gold at Houston IBJJF

Last weekend, Elijah Arroyo went down to Houston, Texas to compete in the IBJJF tournament held there. The IBJJF tournaments held around the world are one of the most respected and prestigious tournaments around. Winning one of these tournaments is tough to do as top competitors come out of the wood work to chase this elusive gold. This was one of the first tournaments where Elijah competed in the Adult division, not as an extra division, but because he had aged out of the youth division. And he came in on fire taking 1st place in his weight division. This is Triune of Texas Bjj first gold medal for any individual on our team at an IBJJF tournament.

Elijah has goals to medal at the IBJJF World No-Gi Championships this December, so this tournament was a good warm up to prepare him for that Championship. The ceiling is high for this young man!
